Glasgow City’s assistant manager, Leanne Crichton, provided her assessment of the team’s performance following their victory. She stated: “We dealt with the conditions, the alst couple of weeks have been really tough but it doesn’t change the style and what we’re asking the players to do.” Crichton further commended the players, remarking: “To a player they were absolutely excellent and it was a case of getting the three points. “I thought individually and collectively they got the job done and it was certainly comfortable.” Dundee United manager Suzy Shepherd shared her team’s perspective on the match. She expressed disappointment with the initial half, saying: “The first half we’re really disappointed with our performance, we really let ourselves down. In the second half we looked a lot more organised and there were a lot more positives.” Shepherd acknowledged the inherent challenge of the fixture, noting: “We always knew it was going to be a really challenging game.” She concluded by highlighting the importance of player recovery and readiness for upcoming matches: “It’s important the players get a wee bit of time off and come back refreshed because we know the battle we’re in but we’re ready for the fight.”
