A man sustained serious injuries following an assault involving hammers and a baseball bat while he was seated in his vehicle. Lancashire Police reported that the incident, which occurred on Wordsworth Road in Accrington at approximately 08:30 GMT on Wednesday, was characterized as a targeted attack. The victim, identified as being in his 50s, was attacked by a group of six men. These assailants, who were travelling in a Land Rover and a BMW X5, reportedly used their vehicles to corner the man before carrying out the assault, resulting in injuries to his legs and face, according to the police force.
