Devon and Cornwall Police reported that their officers responded to Cambridge Road in the city on Monday afternoon, following notifications of a man having been stabbed. A representative from the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust stated that the service was alerted at 14:36 GMT and deployed an air ambulance, a land ambulance, a rapid response vehicle, and a critical care car to the location. Police stated: “Ambulance service attended to provide medical treatment to one man who sustained serious injuries.” By 17:45, police indicated that officers were still present on the road, maintaining cordons around the vicinity.
