Matthew Swanborough, 29, has been incarcerated for one year following a stabbing incident involving another man outside a pub in Peterborough. The assault occurred outside The Crown, located on Lincoln Road in Millfield, Peterborough, at approximately 22:25 BST on September 23, 2023. According to the Cambridgeshire force, bystanders disarmed Swanborough and held him until law enforcement personnel reached the scene. Cambridgeshire Police indicated that the assault stemmed from a prior dispute inside the pub between Swanborough and the victim, which resulted in Swanborough being instructed to depart. Nevertheless, Swanborough remained outside, awaiting the victim. Swanborough pleaded guilty to charges of wounding with intent and threatening an individual with a knife in a public area. He received a 12-month prison sentence during a court session at Peterborough Crown Court on Friday. PC Yeli Zaicevs, the investigating officer, stated: “Swanborough’s violent behaviour was unprovoked and cowardly, and the outcome could have been so much worse.” Post navigation Court Hears Accused Murderer Inquired About Evading Detection for Killing Man Sentenced After Cannabis Valued at Over £4,000 Discovered in Hotel Room
