Kirk Davies, a 22-year-old resident of Middle Way in Croxeth, Liverpool, has been imprisoned following the discovery of a loaded firearm and ammunition, bearing his DNA, concealed within a garden, according to police reports. Davies confessed to charges of possessing a prohibited weapon and holding ammunition without the required certificate. Officers from Merseyside Police stated that their investigation into reports of a stolen motorbike on May 23 led to the unearthing of the loaded pistol and ammunition in a rear garden situated on Westhead Avenue, Kirkby. Davies received a five-year prison sentence at Liverpool Crown Court on Wednesday. Det Ch Insp Phil Atkinson commented: “I hope the sentencing of Davies serves as a deterrent for anyone who thinks it’s acceptable to handle or store firearms in our communities.” He added: “We are relentless in our pursuit of those involved in serious organised crime and we are determined to remove firearms from our streets.” Post navigation Dozens of Abandoned Rabbits Found Dead or Dying in Worcestershire Field Bail Granted to Two Individuals Following Firearms Seizure
