A 26-year-old individual has entered a plea of not guilty to the charge of wilfully obstructing Tower Bridge. This alleged incident occurred during a pro-Palestine protest on October 19. Esteban Gonzalez appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday. He stands accused of wilfully impeding the free passage of Tower Bridge without lawful authority or excuse. Mr. Gonzalez, from Redbridge, was noted in court wearing a jacket featuring a Palestine pin on its lapel. He confirmed his name and address before formally submitting his plea. Deputy District Judge Louise Balmain subsequently granted him bail. A case management hearing is scheduled for January 16 at the same court.
