An individual described as a “dangerous predator” has received a prison sentence for planning to sexually abuse a five-year-old girl. According to South Yorkshire Police, Jared Lamb, aged 46, transmitted explicit communications detailing his intent to abuse the child, along with multiple indecent images, to undercover law enforcement personnel who were impersonating the girl’s father. His arrest occurred on 20 July in Sheffield, where he had traveled after making arrangements to encounter the girl and her supposed father. Lamb, whose address is Brookwood Way, Chorley, received a five-year custodial sentence at Sheffield Crown Court. This followed his admission to charges of arranging the commission of a child sex offence and three counts of distributing an indecent photograph of a child. Furthermore, he was mandated to serve an additional six years under licence and was made subject to an indefinite sexual harm prevention order. Detective Constable Kayleigh Banks stated: “Online chat platforms and sites are often where disturbing crimes like Lamb’s begin, and it is the work of the Internet Sexual Offences Team to ensure that sex offenders are caught and brought to justice before a child comes to harm. Their work is naturally carried out behind the scenes but plays a vital role in keeping dangerous predators like Lamb off the streets of South Yorkshire.” Post navigation US Air National Guardsman Jack Teixeira Sentenced to 15 Years for Document Leak Leicester Man Hospitalized with Serious Injuries After Baseball Bat Attack
