A 40-year-old man is in a critical state after being attacked on a bus in Brixton, south London. The Metropolitan Police reported that the man was transported to a hospital following the incident, which took place on the route 59 bus on Brixton Road at approximately 10:20 GMT on Thursday. A 39-year-old man has been taken into custody on suspicion of attempted murder and is currently being detained by police. Detectives, who confirm the incident involved two men, do not believe any weapons were employed. Police are urging anyone with information or video footage of the assault to come forward.
