A knife incident in Plymouth city centre resulted in a man being transported to the hospital with a “slash wound.” Authorities were alerted around 03:50 GMT on Monday after receiving reports that a man had been threatened by two individuals armed with a knife close to St Andrews Cross Roundabout. Police stated that approximately ten minutes later, at about 04:00, they received an additional call from a member of the public, who reported an assault on a man. Law enforcement confirmed that two men were arrested in connection with the event. These individuals have subsequently been released on police bail, valid until 21 January. Devon and Cornwall Police stated: “Area searches were carried out and two suspects were quickly located and arrested. “At this time we are not looking for any more suspects in relation to this.”A man in his 20s, and from Plymouth, was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and possession of a knife or bladed article in a public place.”A second man, also in his 20s and from Plymouth, was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and threatening another with a blade or sharply pointed article in a public place. Both remain in police custody at this time.” Authorities have issued an appeal for any witnesses to the incident to come forward.
