Kent Police has reported the death of a man who exited his vehicle on a dual carriageway and was subsequently hit by a car and a van. Law enforcement officers responded to the coastbound carriageway of the A21, situated between the A228 for Pembury and the B2160 for Matfield, shortly after 18:00 GMT on Saturday. The police force stated that the man, who was in his 40s, had been operating a white Isuzu pickup truck with a trailer when his vehicle collided with the central reservation a short distance prior. Following his departure from the truck, he was then struck by a grey Vauxhall Vivaro and a grey Skoda Kodiaq, the force further noted. Kent Police confirmed that despite the attendance of medical personnel, the man was declared deceased at the incident site. His family has been notified. Officers have issued an appeal for witnesses and individuals possessing relevant dashcam footage to contact the police force.
