A man has been formally accused of murder following the discovery of a woman with serious injuries at a Coventry home. Law enforcement officers were summoned to a property on Burnaby Road around 13:00 GMT on Tuesday, prompted by reports of concerns for the woman’s welfare. Astra Sirapina, aged 62, was declared dead at the location. Arturs Putrasevics, 39, described as having no fixed address, was apprehended and later formally charged with her murder. He also faces an accusation of possessing a bladed article in a public area and is slated to appear before Coventry Magistrates’ Court on Thursday.
