An individual aged 57 has been accused of murder following the fatal stabbing of a man. The victim, identified as James Murray, 47, passed away on Wednesday at 20:00 GMT on Whitburn Road in Wythenshawe, Manchester. Greater Manchester Police (GMP) confirmed that Scott Thomson, 57, residing on Skye Walk, Wythenshawe, is scheduled to appear before Stockport Magistrates’ Court on Monday in connection with Mr Murray’s murder. Mr. Murray’s family has requested privacy during this time as they “deal with our grief and loss”. Furthermore, GMP stated that a 64-year-old woman, previously apprehended on suspicion of assisting an offender, has since been granted bail.
