A 55-year-old man has been charged with murder following the fatal stabbing of a 27-year-old man, according to police. Jack O’Brien passed away in hospital a short time after he was found on Siddow Common in Leigh, Greater Manchester, at 18:50 GMT on Tuesday. Greater Manchester Police stated that Kevin Draper, who resides in Leigh, is scheduled to appear before magistrates in Manchester on Saturday, facing a murder charge. Mr O’Brien’s family paid tribute to him, saying they were “absolutely devastated” and that “his memory will live through us all”. They also conveyed that his death had created “a massive hole in our hearts which will never heal”. Earlier on Friday, GMP had reported the arrest of two men, aged 55 and 53, on suspicion of murder. The force also confirmed that two other men, aged 53 and 45, were being detained on suspicion of assisting an offender. Detectives have issued an appeal for anyone with information to get in touch with them.
