Police reported that staff at a shop in Hull were allegedly threatened with a knife by a man who had entered the premises with the intent to commit a robbery. Humberside Police were alerted to reports of a robbery at 00:45 GMT on Monday at a store located on Stoneferry Road. A spokesperson for the force confirmed that a 44-year-old man has been charged with possession of an offensive weapon in a public place and wounding with intent. He was scheduled to appear before Hull Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
