Police have confirmed the arrest of an individual on suspicion of murder following the discovery of a body at a Southport property. Merseyside Police reported that paramedics located a “sadly deceased” man, aged in his 70s, at an address on Braemar Avenue around 23:50 GMT on Sunday. The force indicated that his death is being treated as “unexplained,” and a post-mortem examination will be conducted to ascertain the cause of death.
