A man has been apprehended on suspicion of aggravated burglary after a woman sustained stab wounds during a break-in at her residence. The victim, who is in her 40s, was upstairs when the assault occurred at her house on Admiral Road, Ipswich, shortly before 16:55 GMT on Saturday. She was transported to a hospital for treatment of the stab wounds, which are not considered to be life-threatening. Upon the arrival of law enforcement, a member of the public informed officers that he had been the victim of an attempted knife-point robbery in the nearby Ellenbrook Park a short time earlier. The suspect fled from both incidents, which Suffolk Police have confirmed are being treated as linked. In a statement, the police force indicated that the second victim was not believed to have suffered serious injuries. He told officers that the assailant was carrying a knife and attempted to steal his phone and wallet. Officers conducted investigations to locate the suspect, who was described as wearing dark clothing with a face-covering – possibly a scarf – over his mouth. Anyone with information has been requested to contact the police, and residents have been asked to review their CCTV footage. Suffolk Police confirmed that a man in his 20s was arrested on Sunday. “He was taken to Martlesham police investigation centre where he will be questioned by detectives,” the force stated. They added: “The full circumstances of a reported attempted robbery in Ellenbrook park a short time prior to this continue to be investigated by officers.” Post navigation No Parental Prosecutions in Christmas E-Scooter Enforcement Drive Individual Imprisoned for Online Dissemination of Terrorist Content
