An individual has been taken into custody following an incident in East Sussex where an XL bully dog caused injuries to a dog walker. Law enforcement officers responded to calls regarding two dogs, suspected to be XL bullies, engaged in a confrontation close to Links Avenue in Peacehaven on Monday at 10:45 GMT. According to police accounts, one of the XL bullies, accompanied by a Border Collie cross, had escaped from a nearby vehicle. This unrestrained XL bully subsequently attacked another XL bully that was being walked on a lead by its owner. The dog walker sustained lacerations to his hands, and his XL bully received minor injuries. Authorities confiscated the loose XL bully and apprehended its owner on charges related to having dogs dangerously out of control. The 29-year-old man also faces charges for assaulting three police officers and causing damage to a police vehicle while being transported to custody. Neither the injured individual nor the dog necessitated medical attention. The police force stated it had enhanced its presence in the vicinity to provide reassurance to the public.
