A 34-year-old man has appeared before a court, facing charges of causing death by dangerous driving in connection with a single-vehicle collision. The incident involved a grey Ford Raptor, which veered off the A69 while traveling westbound near Throckley, Newcastle-upon-Tyne. This occurred approximately at 11:30 GMT on Thursday. Northumbria Police reported that a man in his 20s, who was a passenger in the vehicle, died at the scene. The accused, who is of no fixed abode, has been remanded in custody.
