An individual was hospitalized following an early morning fire. Emergency services, including Suffolk Fire & Rescue Service, police, and paramedics, responded at 00:09 GMT to a fire at a semi-detached bungalow located in Beaufort Court, Haverhill. The fire, which originated in the kitchen, was reported by a neighbour who observed smoke and flames emanating from the residence, as stated by the fire service. The male resident of the dwelling and his pet dog were rescued. The man received hospital treatment for burns and smoke inhalation. Firefighting units from Haverhill (two crews), Linton, and Cambridge were dispatched to the site. According to a spokesperson, the incident concluded by 02:08, and an inquiry into the fire’s origin is scheduled to commence.
