Man, 77, Found Dead in House; Murder Arrest Made

A man has been apprehended on suspicion of murder following the discovery of a 77-year-old man’s body inside a house. Merseyside Police indicated that officers were called to a residence on Clipsley Lane, Haydock, at approximately 22:10 GMT on Tuesday. The 77-year-old man was found deceased with a head injury. A 33-year-old man, also from Haydock, has been taken into custody on suspicion of murder. Detective Inspector Yoseph Al-Ramadhan commented: “This was a tragic incident in which a man has sadly lost his life.” He further added: “An investigation is now under way, which is in the very early stages as we seek to establish what has happened which has led to this tragic incident.” Merseyside Police has appealed to anyone with information to contact them.
