The television sitcom *Malcolm in the Middle* is set to return, bringing good news to its fans. Actors Bryan Cranston and Jane Kaczmarek, known for their roles as the comically dysfunctional parents of the highly intelligent titular teenager, announced the show’s revival on Friday through a video shared on social media, beginning with their characteristic calls of “Malcolm!”. The original series debuted almost 25 years ago. The sitcom concluded in 2006 after 151 episodes, having earned multiple Emmy awards. Additionally, the band responsible for the opening theme song, “Boss of Me,” which features the concluding lyric “life is unfair,” received a Grammy award. Frankie Muniz, who will once again portray the show’s protagonist, stated: “I have been waiting for this moment for 18 years. Let’s find out where Malcolm and his family are now.” Disney+ has commissioned four new episodes. The plot will center on Malcolm and his daughter being drawn back “into the family’s chaos when Hal (Cranston) and Lois (Kaczmarek) demand his presence for their 40th wedding anniversary party.” Cranston, who garnered significant critical acclaim after *Malcolm in the Middle* for his role in the crime drama series *Breaking Bad*, conveyed his excitement about reprising his part. Kaczmarek further commented: “What a delight I get to yell at that kid again!” She continued, “We’re very excited about coming back together and seeing what this family has been up to.” The broadcast date for these new episodes has not yet been determined. Ayo Davis, president of Disney’s branded television unit, expressed her hope that fans would welcome the show’s return, noting its initial relatability. She stated: “Its hilarious and heartfelt portrayal of a lovably chaotic family resonated with audiences of all ages and we’re so excited to welcome the original cast back to bring that magic to life again.” Post navigation Boardmasters Announces First Wave of Performers Long-Shuttered 1990s Nightclub to Host Photography Exhibition
