A man, who is thought to have been assaulted by individuals armed with machetes, has been taken into custody on suspicion of dangerous driving. Police reported that calls were received around 18:30 GMT on Sunday concerning an assault on a man in Osmondthorpe Lane, Leeds, which occurred after a road traffic collision. According to preliminary investigations, the man was reportedly attacked by two other men who were in a vehicle that had been pursuing his car. This incident preceded his involvement in a collision with two vehicles close to the intersection with Neville Parade. West Yorkshire Police stated that the 21-year-old man received hospital treatment for non-life-threatening lacerations to his head and torso. He was subsequently arrested and remains in custody. A spokesperson for the force confirmed that another driver involved in the crash sustained minor injuries, and the suspect vehicle departed the scene. The West Yorkshire force appealed to anyone with information about the incident or who witnessed the events to come forward.
