A collision involving five vehicles on the motorway resulted in delays exceeding an hour for motorists during the morning rush hour. The incident, which occurred around 06:45 GMT on Wednesday, led to the closure of three of the four westbound lanes on the M62, specifically between Bradford and Leeds. According to National Highways, traffic queues on the road extended as far as J27 near Gildersome during the busiest period, contributing to delays that reached up to 80 minutes. West Yorkshire Police confirmed that no serious injuries were sustained. The motorway was fully reopened to traffic around 10:00 GMT.
