Traffic on a Kent motorway experienced disruptions on Sunday morning after a tree fell, coinciding with high winds brought by Storm Darragh across the country. The M20’s westbound carriageway, specifically between Junction 3 and Junction 1, was closed from 07:00 GMT to 09:00 GMT. National Highways confirmed that contractors successfully removed the tree from the roadway, leading to the reopening of all lanes. Kent remains under a yellow weather warning for winds, which is active until 18:00 GMT on Sunday. In a separate incident, a train operating between Chilham and Wye struck a tree on the tracks around 08:00 GMT. Southeastern reported that the track was cleared and services resumed shortly after 11:00 GMT.
