Swansea City manager Luke Williams has described captain Matt Grimes as “unbelievable” and stated he is “in a class of his own.” Grimes’ well-executed finish, which marked his second goal of the season, secured a deserved point for Swansea in Saturday’s 1-1 draw against Luton Town at Kenilworth Road. The 29-year-old Grimes, who has participated in over 270 matches for the club, is considered a special talent by his manager. Williams elaborated, stating, “The important thing is to never take him for granted, which is easy to do when he is ever-present.” He further added, “He’s an amazing player and an amazing captain he adds incredible quality.” Williams indicated that Grimes’ goal and overall performance at Kenilworth Road encapsulate his qualities as a player, noting his consistent presence for the Swans since joining the club from Exeter City in 2015. Williams further commented, “The finish [for his goal] is something right out of the very top drawer, he slams that ball on the move on a very tough pitch.” He reiterated, “Please don’t take him for granted, he’s unbelievable. As good as the goal was, he covered a counter-attack against an incredibly athletic substitute in the 95th minute, he’s in a class of his own for me.” Post navigation Amorim’s Manchester United Debut Against Ipswich Deemed ‘A Nightmare First Game’ Insights for Bournemouth vs. West Ham and Other Noteworthy Facts
