Following Sunday’s 3-1 comeback victory against Carrick Rangers, Linfield manager David Healy stated that he and his team “won’t get carried away” despite establishing a five-point lead at the summit of the Irish Premiership table. The hosts took an early lead with Joe Crowe’s goal in the third minute. However, Linfield equalized through Kyle McClean in the 77th minute, swiftly followed by a second goal from Joel Cooper, and an injury-time penalty by Chris Shields sealed the win. Regarding the title competition, Healy remarked, “There’s a long way to go,” noting that the Blues currently hold a five-point advantage over Cliftonville, who are in second place. He further commented on the team’s approach, stating, “We don’t get too high. We don’t get too low even though sometimes at Linfield, you want to get low because everybody, everything goes a little too negative.” Healy expressed satisfaction with his squad’s reaction after conceding the first goal. He reflected, “I don’t think we did an awful lot wrong in the first half. We found ourselves behind. We pushed but didn’t quite get the golden opportunities but we found a way, we stuck together in the second half.” He concluded by asserting, “We certainly deserved to win the game in the end. We had enough ball. We had enough chances and then ultimately we scored the right amount of goals.” Post navigation Weekly Highlights: Striking Sports Photography Barcelona Reportedly Interested in Hugo Bueno
