A police department has initiated an awareness campaign to highlight the assistance available to individuals experiencing domestic abuse. Lincolnshire Police announced its collaboration with county-wide partners, including the Lincolnshire Domestic Abuse Specialist Service, for the 16-day initiative. Det Ch Insp Rachael Cox, the force’s lead for domestic abuse, stated that this presented an opportunity to emphasize the efforts underway to address the problem. She added, “Building trust and encouraging victims to seek help is an ongoing mission for police and partners.” The campaign aims to showcase the existing provisions designed to safeguard and assist abuse victims, specifically mentioning domestic abuse protection orders, safe spaces, and Clare’s Law – a program enabling individuals to inquire with police about a partner’s domestic violence history. Det Ch Insp Cox said, “We will talk about what constitutes abuse, highlighting red flag behaviours and emphasising that abuse is not always physical – it can be financial or psychological.” She further added, “Our job, year round, is targeting perpetrators of domestic abuse to keep people safe from harm. If you need help, please call us. We understand that it’s a difficult step to take, but we want every person in the county to know that there is help and support regardless of if you decide to report to us.” Post navigation Guernsey Police Debunks Online Child Sexual Offence Allegations France Rape Trial Prompts Examination of Pornography’s Influence and Male Desire
