A traditional Sikh procession, attended by many people, moved between two of Leicester’s well-known temples. Nagar Kirtan, recognized as one of the key events in the Leicester Sikh community’s calendar, occurred on Sunday, taking place from 11:30 to 15:00 GMT. The procession’s path began at Guru Tegh Bahadur Gurdwara in East Park Road and concluded at Guru Nanak Gurdwara in Holy Bones. For the event, which observes the birthday of the Sikh faith’s founder, rolling road closures and diversions were established.
