A prominent YouTuber, MrBeast, has announced that legal professionals engaged by him to examine accusations of his former co-host grooming a teenager have determined these allegations to be “without basis”. Ava Kris Tyson ceased her collaboration with MrBeast in July, following accusations from other YouTubers alleging she sent inappropriate communications to a minor, who was reportedly 13 years old at the time, when Tyson herself was 20. In response to these initial claims, Tyson issued an apology for her “past actions”, while asserting that her conduct never “extended beyond bad edgy jokes” and refuting any involvement in grooming. The individual identified online as the alleged victim also spoke in Tyson’s defense, characterizing the claims as “massive lies” and stating they had never been “exploited or taken advantage of”. MrBeast, whose legal name is Jimmy Donaldson and who is 26 years old, operates the most subscribed channel on YouTube, boasting 325 million subscribers, and is recognized for producing videos featuring stunts, challenges, and philanthropic endeavors. Tyson, 28, who publicly identified as transgender last year, has been a consistent presence on the channel since its inception in 2012. Following the initial allegations made in July, MrBeast expressed that he was “disgusted” by the “serious allegations of Ava Tyson’s behaviour online” and declared himself “opposed to such unacceptable acts”. On Friday, he posted a letter on X originating from Quinn Emanuel Urqhart & Sullivan LLP, the legal firm commissioned by him to undertake an inquiry into the allegations. The letter detailed that the firm had conducted 39 interviews with both current and former personnel of MrBeast’s enterprise and examined more than 4.5 million documents sourced from mobile devices, electronic mail, and various communication platforms. The letter stated: “Allegations of sexual misconduct… between company employees and minors are without basis. The allegations were soundly rejected, including by alleged victims.” It further specified that claims suggesting the company had intentionally hired “individuals with proclivities or histories towards illegal… conduct” were “similarly without basis”. The document also indicated that certain “isolated instances of workplace harassment and misconduct were identified” and that, upon notification, the company had implemented “swift and appropriate actions”. Subsequent to the letter’s release, the individual identified as the alleged victim of Tyson’s actions reiterated that the accusations were “completely false”. They stated: “People used my name to make very serious allegations and claims without ever speaking to me.” They added: “It was incredibly difficult having my name thrown around in a public forum without being given the opportunity to share the truth.” The individual further commented: “The private investigators reviewed all my [direct messages] and interactions with Kris.” They concluded: “I was not groomed. These were false allegations made up by other people with my name thrown in them.” In her response to the initial accusations in July, Tyson offered an apology for her “unacceptable social media posts, past actions, and to those who may feel betrayed by how I used to act online”, but emphasized: “I never groomed anyone”. She further stated: “To lump these two factors together to create a narrative that my behavior extended beyond bad edgy jokes is disgusting and did not happen.” Tyson concluded her statement by saying: “I have learned that my old humor is not acceptable. I cannot change who I was, but I can continue to work on myself.” Post navigation Harshita Brella’s Mother Informs BBC of Daughter’s Fear Husband Would Kill Her The Dawn Sturgess Inquiry: Unveiling Events in Salisbury and London
