Manchester City captain Kyle Walker, who has secured the Premier League title in six of his seven complete seasons with the club, has assured supporters that the reigning champions intend to “fight until the very end” in the current Premier League title competition. The England international has been instrumental in City’s league victories in each of the last four seasons, contributing to six of their last seven triumphs. However, a recent 2-0 defeat to league leaders Liverpool on Sunday marked City’s sixth loss in seven matches, placing them 11 points behind the top position in fifth place. In a social media post, Walker commenced by stating “a message to our fans”, further adding, “we’ve won titles in the final games of the season, and we’ve made history with a record-breaking 100-point campaign, right down to the last kick.” He continued, “We’ve shown time and time again that we can rise to the challenge, and we will do so again. I promise you, we’ll fight until the very end.” In their most recent Champions League fixture, City relinquished a 3-0 advantage, resulting in a 3-3 home draw against Feyenoord, extending their winless streak across all competitions to seven games. Should they suffer a defeat at home to Nottingham Forest on Wednesday, the visiting team would surpass them in the Premier League standings. Walker, aged 34, commented, “We know our recent performances haven’t been up to the standard we expect, and we’re aware it’s been tough.” He added, “But we’ve been through these challenges before, together, and we’ll come through this one as well.” Emphasizing unity, he stated, “It’s important that we all stay together as one club, as Manchester City, through this tough spell.” He concluded by acknowledging fan support: “Your support, whether in the good times or the difficult moments, means everything to us.” Post navigation Amelia Brown Expected to Debut for England Against Wales Exeter Forward Martin Moloney Joins Cornish Pirates on Loan
