Downing Street has announced the King’s approval for Reverend Canon David Bull to become the new Bishop of Buckingham. Reverend Bull previously served as Team Rector for Great Marlow with Marlow Bottom, Little Marlow, and Bisham since 2012. His appointment follows the unexpected death of the Right Reverend Dr Alan Wilson in February, who had held the position for more than two decades. Bishop Bull stated, “It is an exciting prospect to serve Buckinghamshire as Bishop in the coming years. My family have made it our home for the past 13 years and so we have already come to love many of the communities, schools and churches here.” Following this announcement, the newly designated See of Buckingham visited St Mary’s Church in Princes Risborough and Waddesdon School. His consecration is scheduled for a special service in spring 2025. Bull received his education at Worcester College, Oxford, and undertook his ministerial training at Wycliffe Hall in the same city. He was ordained as a priest in 2009 and appointed Area Dean of Wycombe in 2016. The new bishop remarked, “I eagerly look forward to discovering what the Lord has in store for us all and invite the people of Buckinghamshire to join me in praying for God’s kingdom to come as we follow Jesus together.” Post navigation Kent Grandmother’s Pudsey Jumper Sales Aid Children in Need Emergency Services Respond to Kitchen Fire Caused by Unattended Pan
