Kellen Fisher Receives First England U21 Call-Up

Kellen Fisher, a right-back for Norwich City, has received his initial call-up to the England Under-21 squad. The 20-year-old player secured a four-year contract with the Canaries in September and has established himself as a consistent starter this season, having made 10 starts in his 11 Championship appearances. Fisher, who previously earned six caps at the U20 level, is joined by Bristol City’s George Earthy and Newcastle United’s Lewis Miley, who are also receiving their first call-ups. These additions follow several withdrawals from the squad, attributed to either injuries or promotions to the senior England team. Elliot Anderson of Nottingham Forest, Jamie Gittens from Borussia Dortmund, and Jack Hinshelwood representing Brighton & Hove Albion have all withdrawn from Ben Futcher’s squad due to injury. Jarrad Branthwaite (Everton), Tino Livramento (Newcastle), Morgan Rogers (Aston Villa), and James Trafford (Burnley) were initially part of the U21 squad but have since been elevated to the senior England group.
