The latest episode of the Rams Daily featured reactions to the Rams’ 2-1 defeat against Sheffield Wednesday, including insights from Dominic Dietrich, Ed Dawes, Eric Steele, Malcolm Christie, head coach Paul Warne, and player Kane Wilson. Rams right-back Kane Wilson stated that Sunday’s loss to Sheffield Wednesday represented one of the most unpleasant feelings he has experienced in his football career. The Owls secured a 2-1 victory deep into stoppage-time at Pride Park, despite having trailed for more than half of the match. Wilson conveyed to BBC Radio Derby: “I feel physically sick. It’s horrible – one of the most horrible things I have been a part of in football.” He further added, “I felt like we were really good for large parts of the game, they are a good team with good players but to lose it like that hurts.” Wilson disclosed that veteran centre-back Curtis Nelson addressed the players after the game, adding: “He said as defenders we have got to do better but goals change games and if we go 2-0 up we take the wind out of their sails. “That’s not an individual thing, that’s a team thing, we have got to be better in training and it translate into the game. “It’s tough. First half was one of the best we played in a long time. Second half we lost a bit of control. When it’s only 1-0 the anxiety starts to build.”
