A jury has commenced deliberations to determine its verdict following a court case concerning the death of a young child. Chelsea Gleason-Mitchell and her former partner Scott Jeff, both aged 24 and from Bedfordshire, have pleaded not guilty to the murder of Isabella Wheildon, who was Gleason-Mitchell’s daughter. The body of the two-year-old girl was discovered inside a pushchair at a property located on Sidegate Lane in Ipswich on June 30 of the previous year. However, it is believed that her death occurred several days prior to this discovery. The legal proceedings have been conducted at Ipswich Crown Court for the duration of the past seven weeks.
