Dundee defender Jordan McGhee is focused on expanding upon his significant return from injury, which was highlighted by a goal following his swift recovery. McGhee, who had been out for six weeks due to a calf injury, re-entered play as a substitute last weekend, contributing to Tony Docherty’s team’s dramatic comeback victory against Kilmarnock after trailing by two goals. Ahead of Saturday’s away match against Aberdeen, McGhee commented on his recovery: “It was massive. At one point my scan result came back saying it might be three months out.” He continued, “But I felt no pain after a couple of weeks after and then the club got another scan and there was a bit better news so I have worked really hard with the physios and the staff behind the scenes.” McGhee added, “I have come back six or seven weeks early so the feeling of scoring was massive for me and can hopefully kick me on this season, scoring many more and propel the boys, fill them with confidence that we can go and pick up more points.” While McGhee is among several players whose contracts at Dens Park are set to expire next summer, his current priority remains his physical condition and on-field performance. He stated, “When I got the news I was out for three months my head was all over the place, but now I am back I am just concentrating on trying to pick up as many points as I can for the club.” He concluded, “We will see what comes to fruition.” Post navigation Sione Tuipulotu Named Scotland Captain, Reflects on Challenging Journey Ospreys Acquire Northampton Lock Will Spencer
