Jersey Water has issued a public request following the “ripping down and removal” of recently installed signs at one of its reservoirs. The utility company has urged the individual or individuals responsible for taking the signs to promptly return them, noting that the new signage had been installed at Queen’s Valley reservoir less than 24 hours prior. These signs, which were only positioned earlier this week, instructed members of the public to refrain from feeding the wildlife present at the reservoir. Terry Gasnier, who serves as Jersey Water’s facilities manager, expressed his “disappointment” regarding the removal and taking of the signage. Gasnier stated: “We are disappointed that the signage has been ripped out and taken, less than 24 hours after we put it up. Before we take further action and contact the police, we are asking for it to be returned. While we know visitors have only good intentions when feeding the wildlife, it sadly causes more harm than good.” Individuals possessing any details concerning the whereabouts of the absent signs are encouraged to reach out to the Jersey Water customer services team.
