An ice rink in Jersey is scheduled for closure on Sunday due to predictions of high winds. The Jersey Development Company (JDC) confirmed that The Weighbridge Ice Rink in St Helier, also known as Jersey on Ice, will not operate for the whole day on Sunday. This decision follows a forecast from Jersey Met indicating wind speeds of up to 60mph (95km/h) for Sunday. The JDC emphasized that the safety of its staff and visitors is its “top priority” and conveyed its appreciation for the public’s understanding. The company advised those who have booked tickets for skating on Sunday that they can reschedule their reservations in advance. This can be done either through the online booking system or by visiting the ice rink before Saturday evening. An apology was issued by the company for any inconvenience that may be caused.
