The Danish ferry operator DFDS has indicated that the Government of Jersey is anticipated to finalize the signing of its new ferry provider agreement with the company before the close of next week. This contract is projected to span 15 years, with the commencement of the new service scheduled for March 2025. A spokesperson for DFDS confirmed that company representatives visited Jersey to engage with essential stakeholders and distributed preliminary timetables to groups such as the Jersey Hospitality Association and the Chamber of Commerce. Furthermore, DFDS has revealed intentions to establish a headquarters dedicated to the Jersey route and is currently negotiating a lease for office space located at the harbour. Under the terms of this agreement, DFDS will offer services connecting to Poole, Portsmouth, and St Malo.
