Organisers have announced the cancellation of the Jersey Battle of Flowers’ Christmas Parade. This decision follows an earlier postponement of the event, originally slated for Sunday, which was attributed to adverse weather conditions. A statement issued on Tuesday clarified that securing an alternative date was not feasible. According to a spokesperson for Jersey Battle of Flowers, “The challenges posed staffing the parade safely have meant we could not proceed confidently with a rescheduled event.” The spokesperson further stated: “The safety of our spectators and participants is always our top priority.” They also conveyed: “We extend our heartfelt thanks for your incredible support and understanding, with special gratitude to the Bailiff’s Panel for their tireless efforts as we worked to bring the parade to fruition.”
