Jacob Brown, who scored the winning goal for Luton, expressed optimism that the 1-0 triumph against Cardiff marks a turning point for both his individual performance and the team’s fortunes. This success at Kenilworth Road represents only the Hatters’ second win across their last eight Championship fixtures. Speaking to BBC Three Counties Radio, Brown stated, “It’s a massive win – we’ve been playing quite well recently but haven’t got the results we wanted.” The forward, making only his second start of the current season, secured the sole goal of the match in the 57th minute, converting Alfie Doughty’s corner with a header. Brown commented, “I’m just so grateful to be back playing – I maybe haven’t started as many games as I want but for me, after so long out injured it’s just great to be back playing.” This win propelled Luton out of the relegation zone, preceding their upcoming Saturday fixture against Middlesbrough. Brown remarked, “The table can change quickly for us and it’s good to give the fans a positive performance going into another big game.” He added, “When you’re going into an international break you want to be going in with a positive result and we know it’ll be tough (at Middlesbrough) but back ourselves wherever we go.”
