Local authorities and Royal British Legion branches have arranged these ceremonies and services across different areas of the island. In Douglas, the island’s capital, Douglas City Council will conduct its remembrance service at St Thomas’ Church, commencing at 09:45. A parade will precede this service, forming at Market Hill at 09:15 and proceeding through the capital to the church. Following the service, the parade will advance to the War Memorial on Douglas Promenade for the act of remembrance at 11:00, subsequently marching to the Manx Legion Club. In Onchan, a parade is set to march to St Peter’s Church at 09:10 for a remembrance service scheduled for 09:45. A wreath-laying ceremony will then take place at Onchan War Memorial after the silence, which will be signified by the firing of maroon rockets. For Port Erin, a parade will commence its march through the town from the Royal British Legion Hall on Droghadfayle Road at 10:00, proceeding towards a service at Rushen Parish Church at 11:00. In Castletown, a parade will assemble at the Town Hall at 09:30, then advance to the Methodist church on Arbory Street for a service at 10:00. At Kirk Michael, a remembrance service is scheduled to be held in Michael Parish Church at 10:45. In Peel, a parade will gather at Market Place around 14:30 and proceed to Peel Cathedral for a civic service at 15:00, which will be followed by a wreath-laying ceremony. Ramsey’s Act of Remembrance on Sunday is set for the town’s war memorial within the Courthouse grounds, beginning at 10:40, with the silence indicated by the firing of rockets. Lieutenant Governor Sir John and Lady Lorimer are expected to attend the Ramsey ceremony. Subsequently, the Ramsey branch of the Royal British Legion will conduct a service at St. Paul’s Church at 18:30. For Bride, a service of remembrance will be conducted at the war memorial of St Bridget’s Church at 10:45. At Jurby, a service is planned to occur at Jurby Church starting at 10:45. The island’s National Service of Remembrance is scheduled for 14:45 in the village of St John’s, encompassing a service at St John’s chapel and commemorations at the National War Memorial. The island’s lieutenant governor, Tynwald members, and representatives from various charities are also slated to attend this national ceremony.
