Manx Care has announced that sexual health services on the Isle of Man are being moved to an expanded location. This relocation aims to accommodate increasing demand and enhance the clinic’s accessibility. During the transition to the new premises on Kensington Road in Douglas, the integrated sexual health team will continue to be reachable by telephone. Services, which were previously provided across multiple sites, are scheduled to resume operations at the consolidated location next Tuesday. The forthcoming clinic will offer a comprehensive integrated service, encompassing contraception choices, diagnostic testing, and the management and treatment of all sexually transmitted infections. While the clinic has been temporarily closed for the relocation of services to a central facility, staff members remain available by telephone during this time. Amanda Dawson, the lead nurse for integrated sexual health services, stated that the new, expanded facility provides additional clinical rooms “to address the demands of our ever-growing service”. She further noted that it is “more suitable” for service requirements and that the location is “more accessible for our patients”. Manx Care confirmed that patients received prior notification from staff regarding the move, and signage was erected to indicate the temporary closure and change of location.
