Detectives have confirmed that the inquiry into the disappearance of estate agent Suzy Lamplugh, who was last seen in west London almost 40 years ago, remains active. This follows the death of John Cannan, the man suspected of her killing, in prison on Wednesday. The Metropolitan Police stated that officers are still committed to securing justice for her family. Ms. Lamplugh, last observed in Fulham, was reported missing in July 1986 when she was 25. She had left her office to meet a prospective client known only as “Mr Kipper” to view a flat. She was never seen again, and “Mr Kipper” was never identified. Ms. Lamplugh’s car, a white Ford Fiesta, was subsequently found abandoned in Fulham. She was officially declared dead, presumed murdered, in 1994. Her body has never been found. The Met’s cold case homicide team persists in pursuing leads, the force indicated.
