Investigation Initiated After Man Dies in Nottinghamshire House Fire

A man’s death has been reported after a house fire in Nottinghamshire. Emergency responders were dispatched to Wigwam Grove, Hucknall, approximately 01:00 GMT on Monday. The Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that a 35-year-old male was pronounced deceased at the location. An investigation into the fire has been initiated to ascertain its origin. The fire service stated that teams from Hucknall and Stockhill stations responded to the incident after receiving a report from a neighbor who detected smoke emanating from the residence. Richard Cooper, a group manager for the fire service, commented: “This really is a sad and tragic incident and I would like to send my sincere condolences to the gentleman’s family and friends.“There will still be a fire service presence in the area today whilst we complete our outstanding investigations and firefighters will be in the area soon to offer support to local residents.”
