The origin of a recent fire at a poultry processing facility, which occurred in the early morning hours, has been determined. The Suffolk Fire Service announced that an investigation confirmed an electrical fault initiated the blaze within a packaging area at Gressingham Foods in Redgrave. Six fire engines were dispatched to the plant, located on the Suffolk-Norfolk border, at approximately 04:30 BST on Saturday. Upon the arrival of fire crews, the building at the Hinderclay Road site was reported to be “well alight.” A security guard raised the alarm after observing smoke.
