A probe is scheduled to commence regarding a significant blaze at a manufacturing facility, necessitating the rescue of one individual. Over twelve fire teams were dispatched to a distribution center situated on Burnmoor Street in Leicester, close to the King Power Stadium, around 18:30 GMT on Monday. The Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that all occupants of the structure had been accounted for, adding that an inquiry into the origin of the fire would commence at a subsequent time. According to Area Manager Chris Parsons, two fire teams remained on site, and Burnmoor Street was expected to stay shut in both directions for the “foreseeable future”. He also stated that ten fire teams and various specialized pieces of equipment were deployed to combat the “significant” blaze. Meanwhile, Leicestershire Police reported that adjacent thoroughfares, specifically Filbert Street, Sawday Street, and Brazil Street, had subsequently been reopened.
