A formal inquiry into the death of a mother, whose body was discovered at her residence in Spalding, has commenced and subsequently been adjourned. Kristine Sparane, 37, was found at a property on Winsover Road around 19:30 GMT on November 26. Brian Simpson, 64, of Nene Court, Spalding, has been charged with her murder. During the opening of the inquest, Paul Smith, the coroner for Greater Lincolnshire, confirmed that a post-mortem examination conducted on November 28 indicated Miss Sparane’s preliminary cause of death as head injuries. Miss Sparane, who was born in Latvia, worked as a retail assistant. She was single and resided with her children on Winsover Road. Her body was formally identified by an ex-partner on December 3. The inquest has been adjourned until May 28, 2025.
