The initial image from the forthcoming Peaky Blinders film, featuring Oscar nominee Barry Keoghan, has been unveiled. The photograph displays the 32-year-old actor, recognized for his work in Saltburn and The Banshees Of Inisherin, wearing a flat cap and leaning from the side of a car as it arrives at an industrial building. No information has yet been disclosed regarding Keoghan’s character. He is set to appear opposite fellow Irish actor Cillian Murphy, who will continue his portrayal of Birmingham gangster Tommy Shelby in the movie. A release date for the Peaky Blinders film has not yet been announced. British actors Stephen Graham and Sophie Rundle are also reprising their roles from the BBC TV drama, which ran for six series. Graham, known for his role in Boiling Point, previously played docker Hayden Stagg, while Rundle, from Gentleman Jack, depicted Ada Thorne, the sole female Shelby sibling in Steven Knight’s television show. Dune actress Rebecca Ferguson and Pulp Fiction star Tim Roth are also among the new additions to the cast. The narrative will shift to follow the Shelby family into World War Two. In 2023, Keoghan received a Bafta for best supporting actor for The Banshees of Inisherin, and has also earned nominations for his performances in Saltburn and Calm With Horses.
