Eight fire crews from two counties successfully brought a significant fire on an industrial estate under control. The Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service reported that firefighters were dispatched at 01:25 BST to a derelict commercial building situated on Little Money Road within the Loddon Industrial Estate. Eight appliances originating from Loddon, Earlham, Great Yarmouth, Hethersett, Harleston, Wymondham, Beccles, and Lowestoft extinguished the blaze and remained on site for the duration of the night to monitor the area. Fiona Buck, a pub worker who witnessed the fire on her journey home, commented: “It was quite surprising because of how big it was.” She was driving towards Ditchingham when she pulled her vehicle over at the side of the road sometime after 01:00. She further described: “We were heading out of town and I just noticed the orange lights… and saw two fire engines.” Adding, “The whole building was pretty much on fire.” The affected site was locally understood to have been previously occupied by Mussett Aerospace. Residents in the vicinity had been advised to keep their doors and windows closed. The fire service stated: “Crews used breathing apparatus, main and hose reel jets and a hydrant to extinguish the fire.” Post navigation Retailers Present Diverse Christmas Advert Campaigns, Balancing Emotional Themes with Humorous Approaches Tungsten Mine Seeks Government Assistance
