Bail has been granted to two men who were apprehended in connection with an alleged investment fraud linked to a Nottinghamshire company that has since collapsed. According to police, numerous reports were filed by investors asserting they had been defrauded of substantial amounts of money following the administration of the Mansfield-based firm, Gallant Building Services Ltd, earlier this year. This led to the initiation of an investigation, during which officers conducted raids at properties in Mansfield and the Bassetlaw area on Monday. A fourth warrant was also executed in Sussex on the same morning. The police confirmed that two individuals, aged 41 and 55, were arrested during the operations in Nottinghamshire on suspicion of fraud by false representation and acquiring/using/possessing criminal property. These two men have since been released on bail, subject to conditions, as the investigation proceeds, the force stated. Det Sgt Thomas Rawlings, a member of Nottinghamshire Police’s fraud unit, commented: “Whilst we have made two arrests, we remain in the early stages of our investigation. “[These] action shows how seriously we take suspected fraud and our investigation into this matter will now continue.”” Post navigation Three Arrested Following Deaths of Two Men Suspected to be Drug-Related Former Soldier, Ex-Dealer Becomes Award-Winning Artist After Prison Sentence
